Coaches

EKIFSC are proud to have Yvonne and Silvanna Cameron as the club coaches.  They have coached with the club for over 20 years and continue to teach skaters to the highest level.

Yvonne Cameron

  • Former Scottish Senior Ladies Champion
  • Represented Great Britain at Senior Internationals
  • Travelled the world as Principal Skater in Ice Shows
  • Had the great privilege of appearing with John Curry at The London Palladium and Bristol Hippodrome
  • Coached and lectured at many summer schools
  • Coached both men and ladies Scottish Champions at every level including Senior Men & Ladies
  • Pupils achievements at the British Championships are 9 British Champions, 11 Silver medalists and 9 Bronze medalists
  • Pupils have participated at Junior & Senior Internationals, Youth Olympics, Junior Worlds, European Championships, Worlds & Olympics
  • In 2001¬†Yvonne was voted ‘Coach of the Year’ by South Lanarkshire Council
  • Pupils have taken part in Internationals in Colorado, St Gervais, Vienna, Albertville, Lausanne, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Obersdorf, Paris, Slovenia, Croatia, Sundsvall, Australia & Belgium

 

Silvanna Cameron

  • European and World Coach / NCCP Level 4 in Technical, Theory, Practical & Sport Science / B.I.T.A. Master Coach
  • Trained to Gold Standard
  • Competed at British Senior Championships
  • Travelled most of Europe & Asia as Principal Skater & Choreographer
  • Gained distinction pass in National Coaching Certificate programme
  • Coached pupils at National & International Level
  • Pupils have represented Great Britain at Junior & Senior Internationals, Youth Olympics, Europeans & Worlds
  • Coached (along with sister Yvonne) the only Scottish male skater to have passed gold star test
  • Pupils have competed at every level at British Championships
  • Have coached both men & ladies who have been Scottish Champions at every level
  • Have trained and worked alongside some of the worlds best figure skaters & coaches
  • Have coached members on the British Olympic Squad
  • In the summer of 2005, Silvanna coached alongside Russian coaches at the Dundee Skating School
